No. DigiFlex will not void a new car warranty. There are laws that protect the consumer. This link to the Federal Trade Commission explains the Magnuson-Moss Act in detail.

Does the DigiFlex k work in cold weather?

Yes. DigiFlex provides easy starting even in extremely cold weather.

Does DigiFlex increase fuel consumption?

Because ethanol contains less energy per gallon than gasoline, you can expect somewhat lesser fuel mileage when burning E85. However, the E85 Engine Preparation Kit increases fuel mileage and helps offset mileage loss due to burning alcohol.

If I have a gasoline vehicle and convert it to alcohol, am I going to damage the engine?

No. There are currently over 50,000 vehicles on the road using the DigiFlex to burn alcohol fuels. There have been no reports of engine damage due to the conversion. In fact, burning alcohol instead of gasoline has been shown to decrease engine oil contamination and extend engine life. Alcohol burns cooler than gasoline providing additional benefits in terms of engine life and performance. In teh early 1980's all auto manufacturers started using parts that were not harmed by ethanol.

Will I lose power from using alcohol in my car?

No. Because E85 has a higher octane rating than most automotive grade gasoline you should notice a power increase. If you currently use regular or mid-grade gasoline you should see a significant boost in horsepower.

Is DigiFlex the same as a chip?

No. DigiFlex is not a chip. DigiFlexk utilizes its own standalone CPU to enable the vehicle’s fuel system to burn alcohol, gasoline, or any blend of the two fuels. The vehicle’s original computer is not bypassed. The vehicle continues to be controlled by the original sensors and ECU, but in such a way as to allow efficient burning of alcohol blends.

Does DigiFlex alter the vehicle’s originality?

No. DigiFlex installation does not alter the originality of a vehicle. DigiFlexk plugs into the vehicle’s existing wiring harness without cutting or splicing. DigiFlex is easily removed leaving your car completely unaltered.

Does DigiFlex work on most cars?

Yes. DigiFlex fits most domestic and imported late model cars with multi-port and sequential fuel injection systems.

Does DigiFlex work using only alcohol or it can use a mixture?

DigiFlex allows your car to burn ethanol, gasoline, or any mixture of alcohol and gasoline.

What if I sell my car?

DigiFlex can be completely removed leaving the car unaltered. The unit may be reused on any compatible vehicle with the same number of cylinders or less.

Is the DigiFlex device EPA certified?

The EPA has actually condoned converting vehicles, saying "... consumers who want existing vehicles to accommodate ethanol-blended gasoline beyond E10 might have to modify engines..."
They never suggest that such modification may be subject to EPA certification.¹

Also, according to the EPA, our modification does not violate the Anti-tampering law as long as we have a reasonable basis for knowing that emissions are not adversely affected.²

Will the DigiFlex unit work with any car?

DigiFlex will work with all multi-port and sequential fuel injection systems. Please refer to our “List of Cars” .

Should I take any precautions before running my vehicle on alcohol?

Yes. We highly recommend that you treat your engine with the included E85 Engine Treatment and Fuel Treatment before running on alcohol. This helps clean the fuel system and protects the engine from corrosion.

What are the terms of the DigiFlex Limited Warranty?

XcelPlus International, Inc. warrants the DigiFlex to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years as measured from the date of purchase. XcelPlus International, Inc. shall, in its sole discretion, repair or replace any defective components returned to XcelPlus International, Inc. or to any authorized reseller/installer during the warranty period. All warranty returns must be accompanied by the original sales receipt.

Any damage due to misuse, tampering, improper installation, accident, exposure to weather, chemicals or corrosives, or any service by a non-authorized party, completely and irrevocably voids this warranty.
