BEFORE YOU BEGIN – SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

DigiFlex installation INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add Engine Protection Chemicals: Change vehicle oil and filter. Add the 12 ounce bottle of permanent engine protection included with the DigiFlex Kit to the engine oil being careful not to overfill the crankcase. Add the upper cylinder treatment to a full tank of gasoline.

2. Do not use E-85 until you have driven the vehicle for 2 tanks full of gasoline after adding the engine protection chemicals.

3. After driving the vehicle on 2 tanks full of gasoline, you may start filling up with E85 fuel.

4. Locate Mounting Position: Locate an area in the engine compartment of the vehicle to mount the DigiFlex Unit. The location you have selected must meet the following requirements in order for the DigiFlex to be properly installed: · Location must allow the female connector end of each injector lead to reach each corresponding fuel injector. · DigiFlex must be mounted to a solid mounting surface. Examples of solid mounting surfaces are the firewall and the inner fender well. · DigiFlex Unit and all wires must be kept away from heat sources such as exhaust manifolds. · DigiFlex Unit and wires must not interfere with any control linkages or cables.

5. Mount Unit: Drill holes in mounting surface as necessary and Secure DigiFlex Unit to mounting surface using 2 self tapping screws. DO NOT DEFORM OR DRILL ANY ADDITIONAL HOLES IN DigiFlex UNIT. Always mount unit through factory DigiFlex mounting holes.

6. Secure Ground Wire: The single black wire with the round terminal end is the negative ground wire. It must be connected directly to the vehicle chassis. We do not recommend extending the ground wire in any installation. The ground point in the vehicle should be a piece of chassis metal that is part of or welded to the main body of the vehicle. Painted surfaces should be scraped or sanded clean to expose the bare metal before the ground lug is bolted down. (To prevent rust cover the bare metal area with paint or grease AFTER you finish mounting the ground wire.)

7. Connect Injector Leads: Disconnect the vehicle’s factory wiring harness from each fuel injector being very careful to not damage the wiring harness, clips or electrical connections. Then, route one DigiFlex injector lead to each fuel injector, being careful to keep wires away from heat sources, control linkages and cables. Plug the female end of each DigiFlex injector lead onto a fuel injector, and the male end of each DigiFlex injector lead onto the corresponding female plug on the factory wiring harness.
